Mother's Day Hike

I had a great Mother's Day this year. It was Scott's suggestion to get away and go on a hike for Mother's Day. (He knows I don't know how to sit down and relax if we stayed home, always too much to be done! :) After church and a yummy brunch, Scott, the girls, and I headed up toward Lake Jocassee for a hike. We got to see some beautiful waterfalls. We enjoy going on hikes a couple times a year. It's always nice to escape and get away from our usual Sunday routine of getting ready for the school/work week. It's just so beautiful and peaceful in the mountains. The girls always have a great time and enjoy spending the day outdoors. I think I just love getting to spend time with my family without the distractions. Scott and I were amazed at what troopers Hayley and Ella were this trip since the hike was a little more challenging than others they've done. Ella always likes to be in the lead jumping from one rock to another quickly and accepting no help whatsoever. Hayley on the other hand enjoys taking her time and taking each step very carefully. Kinda of sums up their personalities too! It was a great way to celebrate Mother's Day. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family and especially two incredible little girls. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about how much God has blessed me with their lives. Each daughter is so unique and has such great qualities that I love. They are both great girls that add so much happiness to my life. I am blessed to get to be their "Mommy!"
