Fieldtrips

Hayley and Ella have both had some fun field trips with their classes this month. Scott was able to go with Hayley's class to the zoo. She was much more excited about him going than me! :) According to Hayley, the bus ride is always one of the best parts of going on a field trip. It's really special since that's the only time she rides a bus. The class spent the first part of the day playing on the playground, eating lunch, and then of course, touring the zoo. Scott was in charge of a good group of kids, and enjoyed spending some special time with Hayley.

I was able to take a day off work and go with Ella on her first field trip to a horse farm nearby. She was so excited to be able to see her teachers and friends outside of school. I was excited to have some special "Ella time." As soon as we got there, I quickly discovered that she was not concerned with hanging out with me. She was right in front of the group listening to everything the tour guide said and followed all the directions well. She seemed to be just soaking it all in. I was reminded once again how independent and well adjusted Ella is becoming. She was totally comfortable in that new setting and wasn't preoccupied with being near me like some of her peers. I began to wonder if she even cared I was there! :) Another reminder of how quickly she is growing up and how proud I am of her. I just love watching her show excitement as she learns and experiences new things. She is really becoming a special little girl!
