Every June, I look forward to a family vacation at Ocean Isle Beach. My family along with my parents, sister, and her family stay in a house near the beach for a week. We spent most of each day on the beach and then we would grill out or go out to eat for dinner. One day, Scott and I took the kids to play Putt-Putt. We also spent one evening celebrating Jackson's 8th birthday. It was nice to enjoy some downtime with family. However, I forgot how much work it takes to get everyone ready for the beach each day...bathing suits, sunscreen, chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, snacks, drinks etc. Pretty exhausting to even get to the beach each day, but totally worth it! The kids enjoyed being together all week too. They played well together at the beach and enjoyed watching movies at the beach house. Toward the end of the week Cousin Austin got stung by a jellyfish. Poor thing! He thought it was a toy floating in the ocean. Much to our surprise he decided to return to the ocean the next day! Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun week!
