Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was especially busy for us. Our day was filled with church, brunch, and enjoying the art festival downtown. I was able to spend time with my family as well as my mom and mother-in-law. Even though the day was a whirlwind, I could still find time to reflect on the incredible role of being a mother. I remember just days before I went into labor with my first daughter, a good friend described the role of being a mother perfectly. She said, "Being a mom is the hardest and most challenging thing you will do, but also the most rewarding and awesome thing that you will do!" I take my role as a mother very seriously because of the influence that a mother can have on their children. At times, this role can be extremely overwhelming! I strive each day to be the best mom I can be to my girls. Although some days are better than others! I want to show them unconditional love, provide a stable and secure home, mold their unique personalities, be a good role model for them by the way I life my life, but most importantly, teach them to love the Lord and dedicate their lives to Him.
